@Scotty Kilmer
Hey Scotty, greetings from Germany! 😀
I'm looking to buy a 1991 Toyota Carina2 with the 97hp 4a-fe motor.
It looks like new! NO JOKE! and has 112.000km on the clock.
But it seems to loose a spark every now and then, so one cylinder seems to not fire sometimes, should be easy to fix, right?.
What do you think? Could that become a dayly even if it is close to 30 years old? (I dont drive too much and have a garage) Thank you and please keep it up! 😉

Even though you don’t drive much, I wouldn’t suggest you get a 30yr old car as your daily. Not without you having to spend lots of €€€ in wear & tear part replacements.

I certainly wouldn't recommend it, if it was going to be your only car.

As with any used car, have it inspected thoroughly by a good mechanic, before you buy it. The misfire may/may not be an easy fix. Ask the mechanic to diagnose the fault.

It might look like new but don’t fool yourself.  Keep in mind at that age (30 years old) rubbers, bushings and seals will probably need replacing.  Doesn’t seem worth it unless you are practically being given the car and/or you are a big big fan of that car and got to have it.
