my father wants to buy that car, but i’ve heard that European cars aren’t that great, so is it good or what other options are there?

Avoid like wildfire. Especially the Ibiza.
They’re good cars when new, but they have a tendency to fall apart.
Where I live they’re popular cars to buy new, but they all get junked after 5-10 years.

Depends on the engine. TDIs are great, petrols are eh.
