Hey scotty I’m 18 and thinking about a 2022 Honda Accord sport 2.0T are they reliable and do you think they can last up to 500k miles with just basic maintenance?
It's not reasonable to expect to go 500K miles with only regular maintenance, especially with a turbocharged engine. Not many make it that far. There's not only the mechanical wear to consider but with the complex electronics that all of today's cars rely on I doubt that any would have that kind of longevity.
2.0T are they reliable
It's a turbocharged engine so probably not as reliable as the naturally aspired engines but when it comes to turbocharged then without a doubt Honda over any other brand. So if you definitely want a turbocharged car then go for a Honda and 2.0L is better than a 1.5L.
last up to 500k miles with just basic maintenance
I don't expect newer cars to last that long, but 200k to 300k would be a better bet. If you want something that lasts 500k then you should be looking at a Land Cruiser.
If you want something that will last longer why not a Civic Si or the manual trims of the hatchback (both 2022)? They're nice comfortable reliable cars and manual transmission makes them even better. Or if automatic then there are naturally aspired versions of the 2022 Civic too; they're pretty big now compared to before.
