2007 Honda Civic SI good choice?

Hey Scotty, newer viewer here I started watching your videos when I was looking for a used car. After WEEKS of research I decided on a 2007 Honda Civic SI coupe with 130,000 miles. I’m worried about it getting stolen should I install a kill switch? Can I do it myself or should I hire a mechanic?

You didn't say if you've purchased it yet or are just thinking about it. Engine problems are fairly common on that model, the most common being a cracked engine block. An inspection by a good mechanic before purchase should always be done when buying a used vehicle.

Bear in mind an old saying from the 1980s: "Tow truck beats Chapman lock". (The Chapman lock being an anti-theft device popular at the time that locked the hood and disabled the ignition.)
