Hi there. I've been wanting a manual transmission car for a while so I can teach my siblings how to drive stick.
All I want is a cheap beater car I can get from a dealer and have fun with it.
I see many newer Ford Focus's that go for under 10k with less than a 100k miles. I did some research and found that the automatic transmissions are terrible and will become a money pit. But on the other hand, the manual transmissions serve very well.
The other option would be an 8th gen Honda civic with the 1.8L R18 4 cylinder.
what would be the best option for a nice, small, and cheap manual car?

I would go with the Honda.
