I’m looking for a reliable car with really good gas mileage. I have been looking at Toyota specifically the corolla series and I know I definitely want a Corolla but I’m unsure which model is best. I saw that the new Toyota Corolla 2022 Hybrid LE has a fantastic almost unbelievable gas mileage but I have never had a hybrid before. This is going to be my first purchase from a dealership so I want to make absolutely sure nothing will go wrong if I get a hybrid because I heard that the transmission on the older Toyota hybrid models develop problems. Is this a good option? Should I be worried about anything with this make and model or that it’s a Toyota hybrid?

You’re good. It’s basically a Prius under there. And they are built well. If the hybrid scares you, the Corolla gas only is good too.

It's a Prius based car. Same platform, the 1.8L hybrid is the same powertrain, but the battery is a different size.
It's best to get one that's made in Japan - but Toyota QC is still high no matter where they're made.

It's not the most efficient hybrid, it's much more efficient than petrols and it doesn't compromise on reliability!
It's a good balance between being reliable, durable, and efficient - highly recommended.
Although, if new Priuses are still available, the Prius Plug-in is a slightly better choice.
But I would defiantly go for the Corolla over the regular Prius.

You are going to want to read all the paper work, and watch YouTube videos to make sure you're ready.
Make sure you're getting the free 8 year battery warranty, and that it has all the features you need!
Make sure you're ready that the dealer is going to play tricks and try to upsell you on crap you don't need.
