Popping noise going over bumps

Hi I have a 2007 Hyundai sonata with a 3.3 L V6 with 307,000 miles on it.  I did front end suspension work . A couple weeks later the car starts makes a pop noise that you can feel in middle of the front of the floor inside the car. when you press on the brakes or when you hit a bump and when the car Shifts . I brought it to auto repair shop and they said the mounts were bad and needed replaced. I tested to see if I'd put it in neutral the press brakes if noise was still there and the couple times I tried I couldnt reproduce it. So it definitely sounds like the mounts but I'm not for sure. I tested ball joints and stuff but everything seems tight. One time I had car in park and pushed car back and forth it made that noise. Everything was replaced in front end except all the mounts, rack n pinion and sway bar and sway bar bushings. Also, i looked up the procedures for how to replace them on alldata but it doesn't show anything about how to replace my mounts. Even it doesn't show about torque specs could anyone help me with that?

watch the engine while someone shifts the transmission (P-R-D). If it tries to escape then the mounts are bad.

Not surprising if they have 300k on them.

Scotty has demonstrated a method for checking if engine mounts are bad - you put a jack under the engine, and give the engine upward pressure - if the engine moves an inch without any movement of the body, you have bad mounts.

It's gonna be passed thru the family

Bad idea. Unless you intentionally want them to have to go through the Hyundai experience..

What makes you want to trust a chain tire store?  They'd try to sell you the Moon if they could.  I would find a real suspension specialty shop.

This is not unusual for a 15 year old car particularly hyundai. All the rubber parts are turning to dust. All the plastic parts are getting brittle and Hyundai's have a lot of plastic. How much other stuff will break in the process of changing the motor mounts? If you sell the car the new owner will put the mounts in and get your newly installed suspension part for free. Keep it and you have to invest more money in a 15 year old car. How much do they want for the motor mounts? I would get them all done if you go ahead with the repair just don't be surprise if your mechanic ends up replacing parts like the intake filter box and other plastic stuff that will be stressed by handling.

I'm planning on doing the mounts myself. I'm sure it would help a whole lot when it's all replaced. But still was trying to aim toward fixing that issue. Tires plus said that the noise were coming from the mounts . But just wanna make sure before I jump right away on fixing it. The shop service info doesn't give me anything about replacing the mounts. I don't know any torque specs on any of them

I'm planning on keeping the car. It's gonna be passed thru the family

There is a thought. An air-loom Hyundai. If so change all of them.

It did not fix that noise. All mounts were changed. Actually engine moves a bit more then the factory one were in. But I put oem ones in . So weird..
