Hello. I own a 1999 toyota camry ce 2.4 l 4cyl engine with 230,435 miles . my car has only been running on convensional oil for the life of the car as I know of. I am having trouble finding my current brand of concentional oil in any stores and I am looking for alternatives. I have found thst rural king carries a 5w 30 convensional oil at a very affordable price but I dont wsnt to put terrible oil in my vehicle. The oil in question is harvest king 5 w 30 by rural king. Ive considered switching to synthetic but I think the cons outweigh the pros in thst aspect. If you could let me know if this brand of oil would be ok in my 1999 camry or not it sure would give ne piece of mind. Thank you.
do the specs on the bottle meet what your owner's manual says the car needs?
Harvest King should be fine as long as it has the API service certification suitable for your engine. It is probably made by Warren Oil which also makes WalMart's SuperTech and numerous other private-label brands. (Warren is a large independent oil company that has been in business since 1922.) A quick online search shows most references stating Harvest King oil is made by Warren, though a few say it is supplied by Citgo.
