  1. Ive got a 1996 Ford Ranger 2wd 3.0 V6 5speed w/ 237,000 miles tht has a high idle when first starting it, when coming to a stop dosnt want to idle down, or when im driving it keeps barely accelerating instead of having some engine braking. I changed the spark plugs, air filter, idle air control valve, tried cleaning mass air flow sensor and intake temp sensor. Also replaced pcv valve and vaccum lines.im thinking the throttle position sensor is bad but wanted to ask before buying another part. The check engine light is on and showed a code for to lean or too rich and vaccum leak or bad pcv valve which is why I replaced them.

I didn’t get the last part you said. Is it running reach or lean? And what’s the code?

I think you need some live data to see what exactly is going wrong and fix it accordingly.

Yes it was the throttle position sensor
