G,day mate
Looking to buy a jeep, always like the look of it and it'll be buy first car so I want it to be decent
I live in Australia and there's isn't alot of the older one here, there a few but have done some runs.
Just wondering if you have any tips or advice or should i look for something else, Because I sow a video you did about the 99 jeep wrangler you said it wasn't made for trialling across the country, and I am looking to do a long trip drive.
Look for something else.
You live in the land of the Landcruisers.. They’ve earned their reputation there, for a reason..
If not a LC, then look for some old, but good condition Patrols.
All the best!
@InThrustWeTrust mentioned a good point: The Land Cruisers you have there are excellent and unfortunately they are not offered in the US. Pick one of those and you will be happy down the road.
I would not look at the Jeep especially the older ones (even though they were better made than the newer ones) since you say you travel long distances. I have been in many Wranglers as a passenger from different generations and none of them ride well on paved road. The 4runners or Land Cruisers (I’ve been in both as passengers, also) can go off-road (albeit Land Cruiser more for over landing) and ride more comfortable on pavement (compared to the Wrangler).
The Jeeps are not known for their reliability. I would be much more confident purchasing a Land Cruiser instead, especially the ones you guys have.
Never buy a Jeep, especially the new ones. The old ones weren't much better.
I don’t believe that Jeeps that are dispensed in ’Straya are any better than the ones dispensed here in ’Murcia, … so look elsewhere, mete …
