gas pump keeps turning off filling my Jeep

So, I watch your YouTube channel reliably.  I have a 2014 Jeep Patriot Sport with the following stats:

(1) 4WD, manual transmission

(2) 2.4L engine

(3) 74k miles on it

(4) roughly 12 to 14 gallon tank.

(5) No OBDII codes

I suppose about a year ago the Jeep started having problems with gas being pumped into the tank.  I would put he nozzle in and all of a sudden... every few seconds it would click off.  I did some research, watched your video about pushing air through the tank, etc., and nothing seemed to work.  It seems the fill sensor in the tank is sticking.  I found another few posts on the Jeep forums that I might could take a rubber mallet and tap the gas tank and it would free up the sensor.  That worked until about 2 weeks ago and now once again... every few seconds at the pump it clicks off.  Yesterday it took me nearly 20 minute to pump my gas.  I have also read that this is a sore spot on the Jeeps is that sensor sticking.  I realize it is probably due to that nasty sticky ethanol we burn in our tanks these days... but what can ya do?  I have also seen the only real fix is the REPLACE the gas tank (the other sore spot about the Jeep).  PLEASE tell me there is SOMETHING else.  I really have no desire to pay to get that done (close to 800$ because of a stuck sensor).  I also do not like working on automobiles past 1984 (computers, injectors... rubbish).  Is there an additive I can put in to free it up?  Is there ANYTHING you can think of?  Save me SCOTTY!

Could see if seafoam will help... No gurentees and be sure to follow the instructions. Worked for my e30 project though so hey maybe it will work for you too. Best of luck.

The jeep is more like the Lexus... you have to drop the tank to get to the sensor.  That was the video I watched...  So anyone else?
