Hi Scotty, I have a 96 Toyota Corolla standard with 218k kms.Jerks ever so slightly when accelerating in slow speeds.Narrowed down to two issues,either lead wires or throttle body issues kindly assist.Replaced spark plugs.Fuel consumption is phenomenon.Kindly assist

Change all your spark plug wires & clean your throttle and MAF sensor.
Checked all these during the weekend.They are fine.My mechanic says when he steps on the accelerator there seems to be some blockage.He claims my CAT is starting to go out .Please advise.All igniton wires are fine.New spark plugs as well.
