Good day Scotty! 😀 I pray all is well with you and your precious family. My Son shared one of your videos and I’ve been hooked ever since. Thank you for sharing your knowledge & keeping it real! I love your sense of humor. God continue to bless your endeavors.
2017 Nissan Titan XD Diesel - “Sassy”
Purchased July/2017, early on she shut off - off when I’m in the process of making a left turn. Thank God no one is behind me and a green light turn. I quickly restart the truck, runs normal. She shut off also while driven by hubby. These early odd incidences have not happened again.
Main issue, truck hesitates-almost like choking when pressing the gas pedal. I asked the service department at the dealership, they do not know what causes the hesitation. I have noticed after each fuel filter change(she’s had 4) she doesn’t seem to hesitate as much and runs smoothly only for a little while.
In 06/2020 a Saturday on my way to lasik surgery, hubby at the wheel, the truck decides will not going to go over 5mph!!! We were no more than 5mins. from home. It took us 30mins. to get back home-at one point sweating bullets hoping to make it thru green light heading back. 2 days later/Monday, I was going to have her towed to the dealership, though to my surprise she was driving ok, the check engine light came on. I went ahead and drove her to the dealership. She was doctored up under warranty. On Invoice: “Cause: Internal failure; DH28AA RPL Rotary Turbine Valve Actuator. 14480-EZ40C Actuator Assy-Swing Valve. CH24AA Boost Pressure Control P00AF. DH9999 Straight Time. Diag. Code P00AF, RTCV; Replaced RTCV(Turbo Boost Control Valve) and Calibrated, Test Drove, Ok no code set.”
HesItation still wasn’t fixed. Recently, she almost did the 5mph again. Answered prayer, she just hesitated and jerked until I eventually got to the speed I needed to go-40mph. Not sure if it’s the gears in the transmission or what the deal is, though my truck continues to hesitate to pick up speed. I’m pushed away with the same comments at dealerships, the truck has many systems..blah-blah-blah. I’m planning on keeping her ‘til the wheels fall off, if only that hesitation would go away. Hoping you have suggestions on what the issue may be?
God bless.
Thank you!
Well I would have to road test that thing with my $6,000 gan tool and when it acted up I would analyzed the data but for my experience that is either the fuel pump is crapping out or if it has a catalytic converter the kid will converters can get clogged and do just that but I didn't look at the data to do a serious analysis in. If you're near Clarksville Tennessee when I'm there or Portsmouth Rhode Island when I'm there I'd love to check it out for free I love mysteries to try to figure out
Thank you Scotty! Yes of course, sounds a like a potential road trip! :chuckle:
