Hi Scotty,

What are your views in the TWIN turbo diesel engines,

Mitsubishi has launched a new engine with TWIN turbo diesel with 2.4l produces 470 nm torque, previously there 2.4 l turbo engine had 430 nm ( reliable nice engine)

do you think TWIN turbo put more wear and stress on the same capacity enigne ?

Yes and no. Diesels are built to handle pressure. After all, there's no spark plugs, combustion occurs because you compress the air really fast, and it auto-ignites when fuel is exposed to the temperature, just before the piston reaches top dead center. There are glow plugs for when it's cold, but they're not spark plugs. When it's too little displacement for the car in question, which is typical for engine manufacturers these days, yes, they tend to wear themselves out faster.

well, i love diesels and manual - which are disappearing ,now my question is that I cannot decide between the the 2.8 l toyota engine - very relaible but ugly body hilux

or the 2.4 Twin turbo (new engine can't say anything about the relaiblity ) with with a nicer body panels 🙂
