Does my Lexus have a timing belt

Hi Scotty.  Almost bought a GM SUV, but started watching your channel and instead bought a 2012 Lexus LS460 with 58000 miles.  First owner passed, and the best friend listed it on his used car lot to sell as part of the estate.  It's pearl white, black leather interior.  I love the car.  Drives like a dream.  My wife loves it too, as I was driving a 2006 Dodge Magnum RT that had nonstop problems.  I thought I heard you say that the timing chain should be checked around 100k miles.  Also, does it have a rubber or metal chain?  It won't be driven a lot, maybe 8k miles a year.  I bought a code reader you suggested, and there's no codes.....Joe

please put a summary of your problem in the title, not your name. Thanks.

The 2012 Lexus LS460 has the 4.6L V8 engine (1UR-FSE).  That engine used in model year 2007-2017 LS460’s uses a timing chain, NOT a timing belt.

It has timing belt. Check your owner’s manual for the change interval.
