Thanks in advance! I have always used Mobil 1 motor oil in all my cars and have never had a problem. I was thinking that the ATX might be better and spoke to a Mobile tech about it to confirm ATX was compatible. I have one of the newer truck campers on the truck 100% of the time and worry about the transmission failing in time with such a continuous load. Am I correct in thinking that this oil might be better than the Motorcraft Mercon LV or am I making a mistake? Thank you so much!
When it comes to transmissions I generally run what the manufacturer’s recommendation is. The Motorcraft Mercon for it is synthetic. I don’t see any benefit in switching for you. Since your gonna be running the camper full time I would recommend upping the fluid change schedule from 30-40k to 20-25k.
