Hi Scotty, I haven't had a problem yet, but I am someone who would rather pay for something to prevent the cat from being stolen. What have you seen that works so I don't have issues in the future so I dont have to spend thousands for another one. I live in CA and do not believe aftermarket are not allowed. Thanks

Nothing works if the thieves want it, except being locked in a garage. These guys have torches and battery powered metal saws. All these so called theft preventive measures are just an expensive waste of time.
This is probably illegal, but you could always have the Cat removed and store it somewhere, then have it installed for your smog test. Just a thought. Or get a low rider suspension so you could park it on the ground.
Unfortunately Doc is right. The cages and whatnot could cause the bastard to skip your car for an easier one, but that is the best you can hope for. Full coverage insurance should pay for the repair, of course you eat the deductible.
