Hi Scotty, I recently jumpstart a car I drive a 2021 Tacoma- my truck was off during the jump and the negative terminal was connected to the chassis. Do you think I might have hurt my truck somehow? It starts an runs normal as of now.

Although possibly not as risky as doing it with your engine running, there are still computer systems active in your Tacoma and power surges from jump starting another vehicle could cause problems. Sounds though like you made out OK this time.
It's really safest to use a dedicated jump starter.
