Hey Scotty and friends, my car is a 2013 Mustang, v8, 130k miles, manual trans. I have always been using Motorcraft 10w30 engine oil, but for 5 months now this oil has been unavailable in our country (UAE). The sales guy showed me Kendall oil and said it is the same oil and made by the same company.
However, the kendall oil bottle says it is API service SN, GF-5 (Not API Service SP, Not SN Plus, Not GF-6). Can I still use Kendall for now and come back to motorcraft when it is available, or should I search for something else?
Thanks.
Why the down vote? Is that not the answer you want to hear? If you already know the answer, why ask it in the first place?
Downvoted because your answer was not helpful to me. Which one is it, should I use kendall or look for something else? If you don't want to give a helpful answer, why answer it in the first place?
Yes.
Your question was "Can I use Kendall for now..." and I answered "Yes."
