Car: 2004 Toyota Solara SLE V6 3.3L 2D Coupe - 217,200 miles
My key fob unlocks the doors and the trunk just fine. But it won’t lock the doors. How can I fix it? Would getting a new key fob help? Or is it the car itself. Currently, I have to lock the car manually with the key.
Of course try a new fob because if it's not that or just a bad battery it would mean that you're receiving unit inside the car is breaking down and they cost a ton
Thank you, Scotty. I will do that. I swapped this car with a 255,700 mile 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid after watching tons of your videos. I felt sorry for the guy but he was happy to have a clean nice looking car with 4 doors. So, win-win I guess. This Toyota has p0500 and the tire light flashes continuously though.
I replaced the old battery with a new one and reprogrammed the key fob. It is working fine now. I probably didn’t even need the new battery because it wasn’t working properly until I had reprogrammed it.
