I have a 2006 Honda element haven’t had any issues turning the key to start the car my wife went to church came home to pick me up went outside cannot start the car key would not turn
Is your steering wheel locked? If so, jiggle the wheel whilst turning the key gently. Also, check and see if the battery is charged.
Also, do you have a second key you can insert and turn? This is to rule out the key itself as the issue. 7 years ago, the teeth on my key was worn and when I tried to turn it, it wouldn’t turn; I used a second key and no issues since.
I should emphasize, the teeth on my worn key looked perfectly fine; but when I inserted it, it wouldn’t turn. The second (hardly used) key was able to turn, so the teeth on the original key was worn just enough to make a difference, even though it looked fine to me.
