Kia -Hyundai- Chrysler-Mitsubishi 2.4 all the same?

World engine developed by these companies including Daimler 2004 or so basically the same engines??? even to this day??

88 bore and 97 stroke seem too coincidental---Kia, Hyundai and Chrysler all the same specs in the 2.4---possibly Mitsubishi also

Kia and Hyundai had an internal burr on a part that caused engine oil problems on earlier engines but no similar issues last 3 years or so from what I know--

Any info good or bad  on this would be  interesting -----as many companies have had engine issues often times due to a seemingly simple flaw---

---Also some like VW have gone back to cast iron blocks as in the 1.8 turbo(2015 wards auto engine of the year ward) ---Cast iron heavier but stronger? retro technology so to speak---

----any ideas on this also interesting

Please keep doing the fascinating videos ! ----- Your historical videos are the best

They are all based on the same engine core engine, but each Make added their own bells and whistles.

It was known as the Global Engine Alliance.
