Hey Scotty and the community, i have a 12 Kia Soul 1,6 with 105000 miles. When i took it to a dealer around 1year ago for maintenance they told me that car is slightly losing oil and the timing chain cover needs to be replaced with all the gaskets. I had no intention of paying 1500$ for that but now over time it started losing oil, no external leaks so losing internally or burning. Do you think there is a possibility that timing chain cover could be the problem. I changed pcv valve but its still the same. Thanks

If you don’t see oil in your driveway and you loose oil, your car should burn it. I l’m not sure rebuilding engine worth it, maybe swapping the engine is your best bet if you can not live with the oil burning.
