Lexus 2012 GX 460?

Hi,

I drive a 2014 BMW 750i and want to get a reliable SUV. BMW has about 60K miles with 125k CarMax warranty, but I don't want to deal with crazy repairs in later mileage. Do you recommend a Lexus 2012 GX 460 as a good balance of features and reliability?  I know you recommend the RX350, but I was looking for a bit more room.

Love your videos! Thank you for your time.

The GX460 is a solid vehicle, although they are gas hogs and repair costs (long term) for these V8 Lexus cars can be high.  As an example, replacing a starter or knock sensor can cost a few thousand dollars due to its location on these V8s.  It’s why we recommend the Lexus RX350 (with V6), but you said you needed more room.  If you don’t mind and set aside some money for repairs eventually, it can be an excellent car, much more reliable and less costly than the BMW.

Make sure you have an independent, honest mechanic check this car before you buy.
