Hi Scotty,
I am big fan of yours's and watch your videos all the time. You are a very honest man, May God bless you.
Actually, I want to buy Lexus IS F V8 5.0 but it is very old "2010 model ". Will this car last another 15 years or i should not buy 13 years old car. Next option is Lexus RC F 5.0 V8 "2016 model" but i think it is going to be expensive to keep? Please assist. Thank you
If it’s for a daily driver and you intend to put a ton of miles on it, forget it. The total cost of ownership on those is terrible especially when they are older and accumulate mileage. Even aside from spending a lot of money at the gas pump, it’s hard to work under the hood. Something like replacing a starter (it’s a matter of when it fails and not if) can cost several thousand dollars (if you have a shop do it) just because the intake manifold has to be taken off first to even get to the starter.
.
If you want something still fast look at the V6 versions at least.

You can't count on any car lasting 15 years even if it's brand new.

Scotty has said on several occasions that Lexus V8 models are very expensive to maintain.
Any old luxury car is a potential money pit waiting to happen. If you really want a shot at something that might last 15 years buy a new or late-model Toyota Corolla.
I live in UK and What is the best reliable fast V6 car can you recommend for me please, I want it just for fun only for weekend. Never had an exotic car and i can not afford any. I am 45 years old and i want fast car which is not very expansive but reliable? Thank you
Fast, inexpensive, and reliable - plus expecting 15 years out of it - is going to be a very tough combination to find. I'm not familiar with modern performance models, let alone what's available in the UK. Possibly someone else here would have a recommendation.
