I am looking to purchase a used Lexus RX350.
Are there any particular years for the Lexus RX 350 that I should avoid? 2007/2008 seems to be troublesome years based on my research. Do you have any further insight? 2011-2014 seem pretty solid?
Thank You
Based on my research that is the best in class when it comes to reliability. Like you said, 2007-2008 have some issues but these are dashboard cracking/melting issues so you would want to check it out when you look at one other than that 2009-2014 should be a good bet.
The site I used is: https://www.carcomplaints.com/Lexus/RX_350/
I am looking at purchasing a 2007 with 90,000 mi. It was a lease then purchased by an elderly driver. The car has been well maintained. She is asking $9000.
I do very little driving myself. what do you think?
I've done a VIN search and everything checks out, looking to schedule a test drive.
Thank You
If I were you I'd haggle a bit more 7k max for me but I'd have a mechanic do a pre-purchase inspection on it to make sure of the mechanical shape
I'd also make sure to see if the dashboard is melting or cracked, if so, I would walk away because owners describe it as a safety issue.
Other than that if it checks out and you like it then go ahead they are great cars but 9k is a bit high.
They can be solid cars. Just be sure you have a mechanic check it over before purchase. You do not want to be stuck with a large bill from having to buy Lexus parts.
