I know Scotty doesn't reccomend Chrysler minivans. But, I like the looks of the larger older Caravans. I'm looking for a minivan with enough room to load my camping gear in it. I carry alot of stuff when camping.
Is there a minivan from the nineties or early 2000's that Scotty reccomends?
I used to drive a Town and Country. Was it a good minivan? Yes. It all depends on who took care of them. They aren't the worst. Have a good mechanic look it over and don't pay too much.
Astro/Safari. Tons of room. Available AWD and rear heat. Big enough to lay stacks of 4x8 sheets of lumber in it, you can fit a queen size bed with all your stuff underneath it. Sleeps two in luxury. Dependable powertrain.
Tons of resources, upgrades, parts and modding communities. They still make swivel seats, conversion seats, etc.
But ... you get what you get with a 20 year old vehicle. It's probably going to be on its last leg, and its going to be a money pit, and a gas guzzler.
