I need to a least read codes, check the transmission temperature on my Toyota when changing the fluid. And reset the idle on a Toyota and Honda when I clean the throttle body. Willing to pay up to $500, or more to get these features.

Autel has great scan tools in that price range, some actually less.

See my write up below: Skip the Bluedriver as it is not able to monitor transmission temperature for all models. To be safe, you can contact them directly to be sure for your year, make, and model. Otherwise, will have to step up to the other scan tools in my link below.
