Hi Scotty, I want to buy a used Honda civic with low miles (45,000-50,000). Is there any specific Civics years I should stay away from?

Stay away from the years which were notorious for having oil dilution problems in their turbo engines.

Scotty has a whole video on it (Honda oil dilution problems).

I’d get a Civic with Honda’s reliable NA engine.

Agree with moderator.  Look for non-turbo engines.  The newer LX models still have 2.0 liter engines that should be very reliable.

Get the oldest Honda Civic you can find with the lowest miles.  I love the Civics during the 90's up to 2002.  I really do not like the Civic after that.  If you can drive manual transmission, that's even better.  Also consider the Acura Integra of the same years.  The engines were a little better built than the Civic.
