Hello, I drive a 2003 Honda CR-V EX automatic with a little over 200,000 miles. About a week ago, I took off the connections to check the resistance of my fuel injectors, but as I was doing it the connector clamp broke off and now its loose. Thankfully I can still drive but it is loose. I wanted to replace it with a Honda part, but Honda only sells it as a set and the dealer charged me $1000 for the entire wiring harness (part# 32110-PPA-A50). I'm having P0300, P0301, and P0302 trouble codes that are currently pending, and I wonder if it has to do something with it. Are there any specific brand of fuel injector connectors that I can trust and will last for a while? I did check some after market parts online on places like eBay and used OEM connectors.
Older car and interesting decision on spending $ on it. If it were me, I'd silicone them in place and drive it till I decided yo replace the car. And yea, can cause the misfires on the broken bank of injectors.
@hillbilly
I just need to know a good brand that I can use to splice the connectors. I already did some other work on what may cause a misfire, but I have been getting this code more frequently yet nothing unusual with the engine when idling or driving.
You can look for them here https://www.waytekwire.com/products/1598/Connectors/
I'd still just silicone them (thin coat on outside of injector, slide electrical connector on firmly over silicone, come back in 24 hours).
