Hi Scotty,

I have recently purchased a 1987 Lotus Excel 2.2 litre SE, 5 speed manual gearbox, the car has done 30,000 miles and has been kept completely standard.

The car has a fibre glass body and a galvanized steel chassis, which is one of the main reasons I wanted as my old 1989 Toyota succumbed to the dreaded rust.

Is it worth having the floor and the chassis painted to protect them or should I leave well alone?

If I should paint them what would you recommend?

Question 2: I am considering changing the coolant for Evans Waterless coolant, is that a good idea? if not what would you suggest?

PS. I watch your videos all the time, wish we had the weather and supplies you have in the US, we have rain, leaves and more rain in England.

Thank you.

I would not use Evans myself but I would put anti-rust stuff on all those parts the body won't rust but the rest will
