How do I fix Accord Loud grinding sound after start

Hey Scotty I have a 2003 Honda Accord V6 and when I start my car there’s like a grinding/crackling noise from my engine that last for about 30 seconds to a minute and then it fades away. And when it fades away the rpm drops just slightly and it runs smoothly and sounds normal again. It used to be a lot shorter a few months ago but now it lasts a lot longer. And it’s only after the car sits for a few hours or so. Do you know what it could be? Thanks

Flywheel or Belt tensioner.......

Take a spray bottle with water and gentle spray the belt with water and see if it disapates.

Sounds to me like it’s an issue with your VTC actuator / camshaft sprocket. You can’t fix this, you need to replace parts.

I didn’t mention this above, but also there is a rocker arm oil control solenoid filter and VTC filter and strainer. These could be partially plugged and restricting oil flow, … that’s why we so often recommend more frequent oil changes! Fixing all these is not a simple job.
