low oil pressure

hi there i had a question on my chevy cruze 2014 1.4.... 165000 miles  automatic. Hi there, my car was running with an stablitrek notice showing/AC idle due to overheating, which turned into me changing a couple things under the hood, one involved the spark plugs, i never replaced the cover valve to the engine with a new seal and oil ended up going everywhere like under the hood and even out of my exhaust... it flickered a low oil pressure label and the engine slowed down and shut itself off. since then i have replaced the cover valve so and saw the oil was coming out of a small gap that the cover valve sealed so i dont think the engine is effected... i went to try turning it on but it dosent turn the ignition on although the radio and all lights work and now shows a message of battery system maintenance.... do you think its something as simple as knowing how to uncode the system shut down???? from when it shut off due to the oil pressure being at a low becauase of it losing oil/power due to the cover valve leak?

thanks in advance.

The oil pressure sending unit on lower engine has wore out internal spring. Replace, and start using heavier weight oil for high mileage cars. The lower pressure is possible wrong., unless an actual fancy gauge is mounted with copper line. The combination unit must allow ignition to turn on,- it acts like a relay.

Well first see if the engine is locked up. If you can't get a long bar and socket on the front of the engine and turn the engine over two or three times it won't move or it's locked up in one particular position. The engine's locked up and is now junk because it ran out of oil pressure. Start there
