Hello,
Can anyone please help me find the part# of the clutch kit for my manual 2006 Daihatsu Sirion ?
I would like to buy it myself and then take the part to a mechanic to be installed because last time I have the clutch replaced it was obviously not genuine as it lasted only about 3 years.
The car is only 1000cc and does not really have the power to destroy a clutch in such a sort while
Here are the details of my car:
Vehicle_maker Daihatsu Sirion
Vehicle_model M300
Vehicle_chassis_no JDAM300S001007410
https://www.vindecoder.pl/JDAM300S001007410
Vehicle_year 2006
Vehicle_engine_model 1KR-FE 1000cc
The car is exactly the same with Toyota Passo and Subaru Justy
Are there any options better than the original ? as I would like not to deal with this again soon
Could not find an AISIN part - found: LuK 619 3124 00
MAKE SURE IT'S COMPATIBLE WITH THE SELLER BEFORE PURCHASE.
Although their DCTs and DMFWs are imo trash - as far as parts, LuK is reputable.
Note that prices on LuK prices vary drastically based on the reseller.

It depends pretty much only on your driving.
Quite honestly? There isn't much difference between reputable manufactures -
friction material is friction material.
Thank you for the reply.
I will investigate about LUK what other brands are good ? is Exedy and Kavo any good ?
I wouldn’t get Valeo, It’s too French…
Also I think you can get the LuK for significantly cheaper than $170.
Ack, I had a senior moment and had them confused with the Finnish company Valmet Automotive! D'oh!
Wow! They haven't sold those in the United States for ages but I always use hemmings motor news online. Those guys can find parts for just about anything
I am sure your haven't seen any Daihatsu recently but the car is the same with Toyota Passo.
I am in Europe so some part numbers or good reliable brands to choose would help a lot trying to find parts locally.
Any recommendations ?
This is what I have found so far ( have excluded too cheap parts ) any other reputable brand I missed ?
Valeo is a known good brand. I'm not familiar with the others. Sachs would also be a good choice if they make a clutch kit for that model.
Edit: Strike the above, I had Valeo confused with another company! (They might be OK, but I do not know for sure.) Sorry about that!
Hello guys,
What about the size ? The LUK one is 190mm and the EXEDY one is 180mm. Of course larger surface is better but could I run into compatibility issues if I got larger ? I don't really know what I currently have in my car
It was obviously not genuine as it lasted only about 3 years.
Clutch wear mostly depends on driving habits, what’s the mileage you put on the vehicle in those 3 years?
Do you drive mostly in bumper to bumper traffic, constantly changing gears, or on the highway, cruising in top gear?
I don't really know what I currently have in my car
Ask your mechanic what part did he instal in your car last time. Did he provide you with a receipt?

Everything is nearby so i don't have to drive many miles. I guess its about 12.000 to 15.000 miles in light traffic
I have asked all my local providers regarding compatible clutches based on my car's Make, Model and VIN and found the below :
Luk is 190mm 20 teeth
Exedy is 180mm 20 teeth
and
Aisin is 184mm 18 teeth
Which one should I choose for longevity and reliability which one will last the longest under similar conditions ?

Teeth amount is not fluid! The KO-030A is NOT compatible with the Sirion - that's a GM-Daewoo part!

Only ONE type is compatible and will fit.
Also 230 euros for a LuK part? should be 75-95.

Too little.
Assuming the gearbox functions right, make sure you're managing the clutch correctly.
The least I saw is 35k miles and that's on an AMT that genuinely operates the clutch as incorrectly as possible.
Locally I was quoted 133 euros +VAT for the LUK clutch, the photos I used from the internet were only to understand the products I have found. Local prices are different.
I assume local distributors made a mistake regarding KO-030A, I guess I will go for LUK unless you guys know something I don't
Thank you for the help
