Heyy Scotty, I got a Toyota Innova 2011 automatic transmission(370 thousand km driven) few months ago and with time I noticed that the first gear takes some time to shift to 2nd gear if I am not pushing the gas pedal a lil too much. I got the transmission oil changed in a proper way and the oil was original Toyota oil but the problem is still the same. While downshifting Nd slowing down on turns it takes a while to downshift from 2nd gear to 1st gear(kinda remains in neutral for half a second).
Today I got to know about Lucas transmission fix which fixes slipping n all and also smoothens the transmission
so I just wanted to know whether it will be a nice option for my transmission since I don’t know whether my transmission is a normal one or a computerized one.
same goes with my steering. It was quite hard and I changed the steering fluid(original Toyota oil) but it hardly made any difference.
so can I use Lucas power steering stop leak to make the steering wheel smooth?
Eagerly waiting for your reply
Hoping to get my problems solved asap
Regards,
Obviously that stuff is just a band aid and the items would be needed to be fixed. I would say go ahead and do it to see how much time it can buy you.
I changed the gear oil around one month ago and the oil level is fine, it didn’t go down or the oil reduced.
So should I add the Lucas additive without taking out some gear oil or is it necessary to take out some oil and then pour some Lucas additive?
One more question, How many bottles of Lucas should I use?
I am not sure how much fluid the system holds but however much Lucas is put in the same amount needs to be taken from the original fluid as to overfill. I have not done power steering nut I assume there is a guide on the bottle of how much to use.
