Maintenance??

Hello,

I have a 2015 dodge charger pursuit with about 120k miles on it. The engine is a 5.7L hemi and it is an AWD as well. It used to be a Vermont state police car, so I assume it was taken pretty good care of up until they got rid of it just before 100k and I have had no issues with it since I have gotten it at about 112k miles. I change the oil regularly but was wondering if I should change the differential fluid and transmission fluid to make it hopefully last longer since the transmissions are the biggest downfall with these dodges. It has a 5 speed automatic transmission in it. Open to any advice because I have read mixed opinions on this. Thanks in advance.

if you mean flooring the accelerator, sudden stops, jumping curbs and ditches .. oh yeah they took care of them alright.

Yes. Of course.

@mmj “If you mean flooring the accelerator…”
Well at least it received frequent “Italian tune-ups”. 😁

LOL yeah I meant that at least I know that it had the regular maintenance done to it, but other than that I get that it was most likely driven hard. But then again it’s vermont so not much going on up there…LOTS of idle hours tho 😬

Make sure the timing belt was changed, otherwise you will want to make that a priority.

Pretty sure it has a timing chain, no?

Inspect everything you can. Why not check coolant, brake fluid, brakes, tires..

Dodge has make that 5.7 for years , good engine.
