What type of mantience can you guys recommend for a 2005 f150 4x4 with the 5.4 v8 and 410k miles? I want to get the compression checked, but are there any things i should be keeping an eye out for?
Wow, that's a lot of miles. Usually these are well built trucks, but this one has too many miles. These things usually will last up to 300,000 mi. but in your case, that truck is lucky that it still turns on. Be expecting to rebuild that engine soon.
Check your owners manual, it should have a maintenance schedule.
With those miles, be prepared for anything.
I think they may have a separate book for maintenance, there is nothing i could find in the owner's manual!
You should be able to find the factory maintenance schedule online.
With that mileage, I would be keeping an eye on everything.
