I have a 1999 Mazda Miata and I have a check engine light for the MAP sensor and I tried cleaning it and I also bought a new one and still have the same code what can it be?

OK, … I’m assuming you have code P0106. Yes? If yes, … you have to go to EGR boost sensor. Check things like looseness, damage, disconnected, clogged or otherwise hoses and pipes. Inspect all that stuff.

You may need a tool to clear the code and then see if it comes back.

I found out the air box was leaking air can that cause the code to trip?
