Looking to buy a new Mazda and had some questions about them, in general.
Any issues with Mazda turbo, regular 4cyl engine and tranny in 2019-2021 model years? Looking at the Grand Touring model and up.
Not sure what kind or any problems Mazda is having besides carbon build up on valves, etc.
I am leery of Turbos and not sure if Mazda are any better than the other makes or models that have them.
They are good cars but like any turbo car they will not last as long from pressure.so it's up to you if you want to buy a turbo car if you're happy with say 100,000 miles out of a car you may be happy with it
Well being in the SUV category, I personally am not a fan of the little engine that could, that was a decision that many companies have made. They tend to fail faster than if a v6 was put into place because of the strain that turbos make for engines. The most I've heard about is just the lights have issues and the windshield seems to chip easily though I don't know if it is fixed. 2016 was the worst year for the CX-5s. With all newer cars it's hard to say if the problems have been fixed or have not gone away. You can also check out Engineering Explained on youtube for the CX-5 to gather his opinion. He does a pretty detailed walk though if this is the car you are interested in.
