Hi Scotty and team,
I'm thinking of getting a 2015 mazda 6 wagon. I checked out a few and they seem to have i-eloop problems. Do you have any experience with this system? There is one car in particular that just had its battery and the i-eloop capacitor replaced by the dealer this year. Does this mean it will last a while before it needs to be repaired again? What's the worst that could happen in case this fails? Will it just not start or will it stall while driving? Recommendations and advice would be appreciated!
You are talking about 5 years old Mazda and a system that shows failure. I would avoid that car since it only shows you add more and more complexity to the system for a little bit increase in the gas mileage. Assuming that the efficiency of the system stays the same compared to when it is new (which I doubt it), the cost of repair/replace that system and also the complexity that you add to your vehicle results in a small fortune in the near future.
@yaser
Thanks for your advice. Is there some way to just bypass the i-eloop altogether?
