Topic starter
Hi Scotty,
I have a 1991 Mazda MX6, two-liter four cylinder engine, five speed manual with 198,000 miles.
When I turn the key all I get is a click under the engine bay. Checked out the battery (replaced it with a new one) and has a full charge. Cleaned all of the battery terminals.
Once in a while it will start itself up, but when I shut it off it does nothing but click. Any ideas?
Thanks a lot Matey!

prison you just have a bad starter when it doesn't start and just clicks whack the starter with the hammer while someone turns the key on it if it starts you know it's the starter.could also be ignition switch or loose wiring connectors but more often it's just the starter wearing out
