I am at my wits end. Have a 2002 Mazda Tribute with the Ford 3.0 motor. The oil pan will not stop leaking on the passenger side. I have replaced the gasket twice, torqued per specs and used Permatex where the side timing cover attaches to the pan. My last attempt to stop this oil leak was to replace the pan with the updated Pan and Gasket for the 2005 up engine. It still leaks. Any advice would help. Thanks
You probably want to make sure it's the oil pan that is actually leaking and not something else. Get a dye kit and find the actual source of the leak. You may be surprised.
Sorry, should have noted I did use a dye kit and and replaced the timing cover gaskets and pan gasket. The leak is coming from the pan. Thanks
Did you replace the front main seal or just the timing cover gaskets? Look up under the torsional damper to see if it's leaking there too.
