Hey Scotty. Huge fan! I have a 2000 Mercedes CLK 200 with an automatic transmission. And when the car turns on, it idles at about 2,300 to 5600 rpms before eventually the engine bangs so hard it sounds like it’s shooting artillery rounds and then the engine stalls. It has about 107,000 miles. I’m thinking of fixing it but I have no clue. Do you have any idea?
Can you post a YouTube video of what’s going on?
(Also what’s your displacement? It sounds like your engine is completely dead)

Start with my video make your car run better with a little spray cleaner. That could cut the idle way down and then it wouldn't clunk
