Hello!
Should i keep using syntethic Toyota OEM engine oil for a 2003 Rav4 or maybe switch to a synthetic aftermarket one, like Castrol?

Toyota doesn't make oil they just put their name on it. Just use the right spec and it will be fine. Since your Rav4 has a timing chain look for the new GL-6 spec it is engineered to better protect the chain from wear.

Using a non-OEM oil does not void the warranty. Using the wrong weight or specification oil does.

It is recommended to use OEM oil so you don’t void warranty. But since it’s an 04’ it’s better you just get a good synthetic aftermarket oil like royal purple or Castrol.
