Mercedes GLE 350

Hi, Scottie. I recently found your channel. Maybe I would make other choices, have I knew you before. But answer me please. My wife after buying Lexuses for the last 20 years got bored, and plus didn't like their latest plastic huge grill. So we decided to step up in prestige and bought her Mercedes. I usually do a lot of research, but I didn't think and didn't have any problem about Mercedes. This time she had  money tied up in cds, so for the first time we took a lease. Now the lease is ending in a 6 months. What should we do. She loves the car. Nothing happened ( of course) in 3 years. She drives only 3-5 thousands a year. She has an option to buy it for 31000, or spend 50-60 grand for new luxury SUV. Acura mdx is other consideration. But she would better leave the Mercedes, unless it's going to be a money pit. She is retired. I will retire in 3 years.

Thank you in advance for your answer. Then I will ask you about my truck choice

You may be in the position to shop for a real bargain, well, relatively a bargain. One thing about leases - car manufacturers/dealers offer really low rates on leases as a "teaser" to get you into the store, but the leases are usually very low mileage leases with big charges for more mileage. So they get people in the store, then switch them to something more profitable. BUT, if you are a low mileage driver, they could be a bargain.

Same thing with zero percent financing. Get them in the door, tell them they can only finance for 3 years and have to have perfect credit, then switch them to something more profitable. I almost gave a Toyota dealer's finance guy a heart attack by actually buying a car under their zero percent deal a few years ago, the salesman said they'd never had anybody actually use it before.

Thank you for answering, but my question is not about finances. I usually buy in cash, use for about 8 year and buy new again. But now I switched from reliable toyota( Lexus, Tundra) to something more cute in my opinion. GLE for my wife and Rebel for me. And now I am worried how long I can drive them before( or if) they will start draining money from me
