My 2009 ML550 W164 M272) made it past 200000 miles today. Soon after the battery light came on while driving 150 miles into a 220 Mile trip. I made it home.
The Battery test stats added to the post… idle and load volts are low.
I'm wondering if this is a loose belt or indeed the alternator/regulator.
Do you have similar experience?
i could understand the alternator motor brushes finally wearing down.
