Hello good morning, so after fixing up the Chevy express we had sitting in our yard and selling it, it's time to find a vehicle to keep for four or five years since all of the vehicles we had so far we only kept for a year or so.
Our big interest is on a 2008 mercury mountaineer premier with 116k miles for six grand even. Has no rust by the pictures he provided and claim there is nothing wrong with it.
Our question is, how good are these vehicles with reliability. We do expect it to be high maintenance due to it being a big American suv but doesn't seem to have as many reported problems as the Ford explorer and Lincoln navigator. They have a 4.6 liter modular V8 with 6 speed 6R automatic.

Well they can run generally quite some time the problem is they are very sophisticated electronics that break down a lot but if you can live with crap like a radio that drains the battery and windows that don't work you can drive them for a while
