My 2003 expedition are you showing code 0316 ( mode 6 data 55-00 shows failed 0x9b9 and 0x51f) I don’t know what this means. I can feel an intermittent misfire most of the time.. It seems much less after the engine gets hot but I can still feel it sometimes at stoplights. I checked one of the spark plugs and it is gapped incorrectly. About 10thousandths to small .44 instead of .54. It’s used so it came this way. I am planning to change to the correct plugs. Do you have any other suggestions? Thanks l!

I finally got a p0301 after a month of being unsure which cylinder was the issue. I replaced that coil pack and it runs fine now. It had a different looking aftermarket coil pack, than the others so I felt safe just spending a few bucks to get another one and see if it worked. I lucked out.
Since my last post I have replaced all spark plugs. They were tough to get but we were able to do it without removing the fuel rails. Thanks to my father-in-law for being a 40+ year diesel mechanic and having more ratchet extensions than anyone really should. Anyway the spark plugs were of different brands and gaps. Runs a little better now. You learn a lot buying an old truck. {black}:laughingoutloud:
