Hello
I love your videos, you helped me solved quite few problems. Now I like to ask which spark plugs would you recommend for 2003 Lincoln town car executive model. Has 102000 and misfired yesterday code showed on 8th cylinder. Was driving on low idle shaky. Also like to ask if is worth to keep the car fix few things etc or try to sell. Thank you very much❤️
They are good cars that can last a long time. If I were you, I would keep the car. For the spark plugs type, use iridium spark plugs.
Town cars are know to last 300,000-400,000+ miles with proper maintenance.
Some misfire causes: Failed spark plug (it should be a light tan color internally), COP (coil on plug) being shorted out by moisture in spark plug well or other failure (swap COP position to see if problem moves), vacuum leak at intake manifold (smoke check), injector wiring connector (wiggle test...they become brittle and fail to make tight connection)
For your vehicle, 2003 Lincoln Town Car 4.6L V8, under OEM Spark plugs, at the time of manufacture 2 types of plug were in use.
AGSF-32N Premium Nickle Alloy Plug
AGSF-32P-M Double Platinum Plug
Both types are still currently available, prices generally less than $3.00 USD each.
