hello!! i have a 2010 skoda fabia vrs with a 1.4 twin charged engine, same engine as the polo gti of the time. she has 77 on the clock. im getting a P0302 code and the check engine light flashes. this only happens when i start the car for the first time of the day. it starts about 10 seconds after starting the engine and stops after about 10 seconds. i have swapped the coil and no change, swapped the spark plugs (newish) and no change. so only no2 is misfiring and only when the engine has been sat over night. any help would be appreciated!! thanks!!
Hy!
Cylinder no. 2 is misfiring.

Perhaps @dan can tell you more about this engine.
Good luck!
As scotty always says: you need to swap the coils places to see if the miss fire moves to a different cylinder - if it doesn't, it might be a way more serious issue and given it's a tiny 1.4L with two turbos ramming air inside it - it can get be very expensive.
Although I'm not too familiar with the EA111 "CAVE" engine, The EA111 series is known for having plenty of issues including pistons getting destroyed. Here's what that looks like (on the single turbo version - also with ~somewhat low millage, about 70k miles):
Given how many crappy turbocharged 1.4L engines exist, from VW to GM/Opel - If it's a turbo 1.4 - It better be a Suzuki.
I recommend you go to someone who has experience on these POLO GTI high output engines...
hi thanks. ye as stated i have swapped the coils, day later i swapped the sparks. this only happens on first start of the day and only lasts about 10 seconds, never happemed twice in a day. the generic code clears itself after a bit. also the check engine light flashes during the misfires and from what i have read this means fuel may be going in to the catalyst. but other than the rough start up it runs perfectly fine.
